Jill Weber

Jill Weber, vice president and jack of all trades for Flights For You, lives in Mount Airy with her husband, Dave. Jill and Dave recently celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. She has 2 children. Dan, 22 years old, lives in Columbia and is a surveyor by trade. Julie, 25 years old, lives with her husband and 2 year old daughter in Taneytown and is a stay at home mom. Her granddaughter, Lizzy, has already had her first flight with Nana and is hooked on airplanes. Grandbaby # 2 is due in January.

Being blessed with an income that allowed her to stay home with her children, Jill worked outside the home as a volunteer in many organizations, including Girl Scouts, New Market Elementary School, New Market Middle School, Linganore High School, Frederick Area Swim Team, and Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Jill began flying lessons in March of 1999, and received her private pilot license in May of 2000. She is a 500 hour private pilot with instrument and seaplane ratings. Jill and Dave purchased a Cessna 182 in December of 2000. This is the airplane that most of the Flights For You missions use. She met Dean as her flight instructor for her instrument rating. After loosing a year of flying to breast cancer and it’s treatment, she completed her instrument rating, joined the Angel Flight organization as a volunteer pilot and began flying missions. Cancer patients and children are her weak spot when it comes to passengers, but all those she flies for Angel Flight are special to her.
